True aquatics
Marginal Plants
These grow in shallow water around the edge of a pond with 0 to 15 cm of water above the top of the pot. Marginal plants can also be used as part of the filtration system to keep the water clear as they remove nitrates and shade the pond. They are sold in 1lt, 3ltr and 5 ltr pots
Nymphaea (Water Lilies)
The queen of pond plants, make a beautiful addition to any pond. They like still water, do not place near a fountain or where water can splash on the leaves. They are sold in 3ltr, 5ltr and 30ltr pots
Deep Water Aquatics
We supply deep water aquatic plants in 1 ltr, 3 ltr and 10 ltr pots.
Deep water aquatics are an alternative to lilies, more tolerant to shade. Nymphoides and Aponogeton are excellent for a small pond or addition to a large lake. Apponogeton is prolific flowering very early and late in the year, usually flowering as early as March and as late as December with scented white flowers.

Oxygenating Plants
We supply a large range of oxygenating plants. The potted varieties are sold in 9cm, 1 ltr and 2 ltr pots and listed under marginal plants. We also supply bunches of oxygenating plants for deeper water in both leaded bunches or 3cm pots with rock wool.
Oxygenating plants reduce the nitrates in a pond and oxygenate the water encouraging wildlife and are essential to maintain a natural balance in the pond

Floating Plants
We supply the two native floating plants as well as a wide range of decorative non hardy floating plants. Please note the non hardy varieties do not survive the winter in this country. Floating plants provide shade for the fish, and remove nitrates and cover the surface of the water to help prevent algae.

Crustacea
